Shelter Kitties of the Week

Meet Tide!

Hi! I'm Tide! I am an amazing little house panther, despite my circumstances. I am a friendly, soft-spoken, and gentle boy. You would think someone would be absolutely crazy to dump me and my friend, Snuggles, in a parking lot. But yet here we are. You read that right ... Our owners abandoned us, then just drove away. No note, nothing. No one even knew our names. When we first came into the shelter, we were in the laundry room. So naturally, Tide and Snuggles became our new names. With everything going on, these names are quite fitting.

You see, I am currently going with the tide—I ebb and flow. After a bunch of doctor visits and medical tests, it turns out I have congestive heart failure. I know it sounds scary, and I won't lie—it can be. Some days I am good. Other days, I don't feel well. But the shelter is doing everything for me that they can. The one thing they would love for me to have? A home for the rest of my days—no matter how many that might be. It could be 3 weeks, 3 months, or even years.

Meet Snuggles!

Hi! I'm Snuggles! I am a petite gray tabby girl with gorgeous green eyes. I am playful and spunky, and will chase a feather or wand toy. I am an excellent pouncer! I will run and hide around a corner, then KA-POW! I launch at the toy, with that little "power mode engaged" sound that kitties make. I can be a bit shy to start, but will quickly warm up and love you. When I want attention, I will rub my head against you. (I especially like chin and cheek scritches!)

I came to the shelter with my friend, Tide. We were dumped in a parking lot, and my guess is because Tide needs more medical care than most people want to deal with. He has a heart issue—specifically congestive heart failure. He's on medication several times a day, and the shelter is doing everything they can for him. But the one thing they want most for us is a forever home of our own, where we can look out the window and watch the birds.

Do you have a calm and quiet home that we can stay in? We are up for long-term foster or adoption. The shelter will provide everything needed for Tide and I. They care so much about us having a good life, and know it's a bigger commitment with Tide's medical care. Available now! If interested, please give the shelter a call!
