Resident Purrofile:
Hi! I'm Pookie! I am a cute but shy black and white kitty. I am one of the 40 kitties from a local hoarding house ... and I lived in the basement. I didn't get much socializing my entire life, and I only saw light from the overhead light. I never got to experience looking out a window or watching birdies. I never had a chance to play. I am sweet, but just scared (as I'm not used to much human interaction).

I have become bonded with my buddy, Willy, and we do need to go home together. Even though Willy and I lived in the same home, he was an upstairs kitty and I was downstairs. We have found friendship in our new circumstances, and we look to each other for comfort. You can usually find us sleeping together, or gently head-butting each other for affection. We would love a quiet home with someone that will give us time and space to learn how great life can be for us kitties.

I am FIV+, which is a feline immunodeficiency virus. It means my immune system is compromised, and it may have a harder time fighting off infections. I can live a happy, healthy normal life, with a normal life span. I cannot pass FIV onto humans, and FIV can only be spread to another cat through deep bite wounds, like you would see in cats living outside who might have to aggressively fight for food or territory.

Hi! I'm Willy! I am a handsome and playful boy, learning to trust and interact with humans. I can be a chatty boy! I like to squeak and chirp, telling you what I'm thinking and feeling in the moment.

I came from a hoarding house with 39 other kitties. I have come a long way—from a kitty that would shy away and hide to a kitty that sleeps out in the main room and enjoys gentle pets as you walk by.

I am bonded with my friend, Pookie, and we do need to go home together. We sleep and snuggle together, and I would love to be in a home with my best buddy.
