"Chips & Clips" Drive-Thru Nail Trims

Sunday, May 3rd | 11 AM - 2 PM

Join Purrfect Cat Rescue and our partner, Pablo’s Family Fiesta, for a Chips & Clips drive-thru nail trim event. Drive up to the shelter, get chips and salsa (provided by Pablo’s next door), and drive around to the back for the nail trims. To reduce contact, dogs will be clipped outside. Kitties will be brought inside the shelter (to our back room) and clipped.

The cost is $10. Additional nail trims are $5 per pet. Cats must be in a carrier; dogs must be on a leash.

The shelter is located at 318 N. Rte 31, Crystal Lake, IL 60012.

PCR Temporarily Closed to the Public

Effective Wednesday, March 18th – May 30th

Purrfect Cat Rescue is going to do our part in helping cut the spread of COVID-19 / coronavirus. We will be closed to the public until May 30th (or until the “stay at home” order is lifted).

We will still have and need volunteer cat care shifts — mornings, everyday from 9 AM until noon and evenings from 6 PM until 8 PM. You must sign up for the shift. We have taken out cat socializers and shelter greeters for these two weeks, but we still need volunteers to help with those shelter / cat needs. If you have been in to the shelter, you know we work with lots of bleach and disinfectants already. We do ask that if you are not feeling well, are coughing and sneezing, please stay home and take care of yourself. We will be here when you feel healthy.

Friday, February 14 | Feline My Valentine: A Purrfect Pairing
This Valentine's Day, Purrfect Cat Rescue and ShadowView Brewing are partnering together for a one-of-a-kind dessert and beer pairing fundraiser that is certain to complete your evening. The event will be held at ShadowView Brewing and will offer a selection of seven 4 oz. pours of SVB beer paired with specially-selected desserts to complement each beer's flavor profile.

Thursday, February 20 | Mats & Cats Yoga
From 7:00-8:30 PM, join us for our Mats & Cats Yoga event at Purrfect Cat Rescue! Sessions will be taught by a certified yoga instructor. All experience levels welcome. Spots are limited. Must be at least 16 years of age to participate. Ticket includes one yoga session, a bottle of water, a light snack ... and all the kitties you can handle! Mats will be provided.

Sunday, February 23 | Nail Trim
Come on out to Thomas’ Tails in Crystal Lake for our monthly nail trim program — $5 trims for any animal and the proceeds go back to Purrfect Cat Rescue.

Friday, February 28 | Kitty BINGO
Tabby! Siamese! Calico! MEOW! Spend an evening with Tiger Lily, Bialy, Baklava, and all your favorite feline friends for a fun night of Kitty Bingo. Simple snacks will be provided. Prizes for winners per round. Spots are limited to 60 people—buy a ticket to reserve your spot! Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Shelter Closed on Friday, January 17th

Purrfect Cat Rescue will be closed on Friday, January 17th. The staff are going to see Jackson Galaxy, cat behaviorist and host of the Animal Planet television show My Cat from Hell. We will be there to learn from the best — the “Cat Daddy” himself!

Sorry for any inconvenience. We will be back open at noon on Saturday the 18th.
