Shelter Kitties of the Week

Meet Tide!

Hi! I'm Tide! I am an amazing little house panther, despite my circumstances. I am a friendly, soft-spoken, and gentle boy. You would think someone would be absolutely crazy to dump me and my friend, Snuggles, in a parking lot. But yet here we are. You read that right ... Our owners abandoned us, then just drove away. No note, nothing. No one even knew our names. When we first came into the shelter, we were in the laundry room. So naturally, Tide and Snuggles became our new names. With everything going on, these names are quite fitting.

You see, I am currently going with the tide—I ebb and flow. After a bunch of doctor visits and medical tests, it turns out I have congestive heart failure. I know it sounds scary, and I won't lie—it can be. Some days I am good. Other days, I don't feel well. But the shelter is doing everything for me that they can. The one thing they would love for me to have? A home for the rest of my days—no matter how many that might be. It could be 3 weeks, 3 months, or even years.

Meet Snuggles!

Hi! I'm Snuggles! I am a petite gray tabby girl with gorgeous green eyes. I am playful and spunky, and will chase a feather or wand toy. I am an excellent pouncer! I will run and hide around a corner, then KA-POW! I launch at the toy, with that little "power mode engaged" sound that kitties make. I can be a bit shy to start, but will quickly warm up and love you. When I want attention, I will rub my head against you. (I especially like chin and cheek scritches!)

I came to the shelter with my friend, Tide. We were dumped in a parking lot, and my guess is because Tide needs more medical care than most people want to deal with. He has a heart issue—specifically congestive heart failure. He's on medication several times a day, and the shelter is doing everything they can for him. But the one thing they want most for us is a forever home of our own, where we can look out the window and watch the birds.

Do you have a calm and quiet home that we can stay in? We are up for long-term foster or adoption. The shelter will provide everything needed for Tide and I. They care so much about us having a good life, and know it's a bigger commitment with Tide's medical care. Available now! If interested, please give the shelter a call!

Shelter Kitty of the Week

[UPDATE: ADOPTED!]

Meet Kingsley!

Hi! I'm Kingsley! I am a sweet and handsome tuxedo boy, and I am always dressed to impress. I was discovered living with a local cat colony, but it was quickly found out that I am way too sweet to stay outside!

I am equal parts loverboy and kitty on the go. I am OK with being picked up and held—but if I have the itch to play and run around, there's really no holding me back. I LOVE to play! My favorite toy right now is a sparkly blue ball ... It's as fancy as I am. LOL! I like to play fetch with it. Like *actual* fetch. If you throw it, I will bring it back by carrying it in my mouth. (And then I'll expect you to throw it again!) Available for adoption now!

Shelter Kitty of the Week

Meet Headlight!

Hi! I'm Headlight! I am one of 40 kitties taken in from a local hoarding house. After our owner passed away, the shelter was contacted to see if they could help us. They said yes! So a bunch of my friends and I are now in the shelter until we can find our forever homes.

A little more about me ... I am really confident, and I love to play! I have pretty green eyes, and am a good-sized boy. I love to snuggle with my bestest friends.

I need to go home with a friend. Right now, my best friend is Skunky—but I would do great with any of my roommates! Available for adoption now!

Shelter Kitties of the Week

Meet Chance!

Hi! I'm Chance! I am a funny boy with a big purr. I love to play with the laser light, wand toys, and my brother, Dexter. I can be shy (and might give a little hiss if startled), but once I know I am safe I come out of my shell. I love pets and attention, and I will jump on your lap and let you hold me.

Meet Dexter!

Hi! I'm Dexter! I am a sweet and shy guy with the cutest expressions! I also have very unique markings! It takes a while for me to know that I am safe. I love the laser light ... and food! I love to play and run with my brother, Chance. I love to carry my favorite toys around. I am not a big fan of being held, but I will tolerate it more if you're sitting down. I took a while to come out of my shell, but I am doing great!

We are bonded and do need to go home together. (A quieter home with children who understand to be patient with us would be OK.) Available for adoption now!
